Welcome to the 'Centre of the Universe' Dove Jazz Club - based near to Buxton in the beautiful Derbyshire Peak District - dedicated to maintaining the great tradition of New Orleans music - and especially respect for those who created it, like the legendary George Lewis, Thomas Valentine and Bunk Johnson, and for those like the bands led by Ken Colyer and Chris Barber whose talent and enthusiasm contributed so much to expose it to audiences here in the UK Monthly gigs and the annual " small friendly Festival with the BIG names " at the beginning of each July | |
